Steve Poltz at Rock Point Books
For the short story, Steve Poltz is going to be playing at Rock Point Books on June 8th, 2010 at 7pm. Mark your calendars accordingly.
For the long story this is a modified Living Room Concert that has been put together by our friend, Kim. In fact she’s the one that got us interested in Living Room Concerts. She’s helped us and Jim Neal do our own LRC a couple of years ago with Blue Mountain and then was instrumental in getting Shannon McNally last March again at Rock Point Books.
LRCs are very informal get togethers/parties/concerts where someone opens their home or provides a venue for singer-songwriters perform. It’s a ton of fun and we hope a lot of people show up for a great show.
Steve puts on a great show and his last show in Chattanooga was in 2008. It was a birthday/LRC party and there were belly dancers that did a few dances before, during, and between his sets. We’re going to try to get the dancers again. Here’s a video of one of the songs that was played at that show.
Please realize that Jim and I are inadvertently just out of the camera’s range to the right. We had no idea the show we were about to get.
